Burning Question

W.o.w.z.e.r.s! At this rate I might just have to restrain myself from giving everything away. You all are so kind and well, just plain great! To be honest, I’m slightly overwhelmed. You see, we just relaunched this newly designed blog this week (two days ago to be exact) and s h e n a n i g a n s….I’m in awe. (Merci Amy).
Yesterday, as I was reading through your excitement and overwhelming love for the three lovely handbags chosen for our giveaway, particularly the Lucky Slouch, I had myself thinking about accessories and the art of adorning a woman. Have you ever wondered why women love pretty things?
As I contemplate this question, let me take you down memory lane for just a moment…
Exactly two years ago, I decided to go against all advice from a former hairstylist (a male who considered himself a feminine expert) and went short – really short. I always wanted to sport a short and sassy cut but my befuddled (that’s what I like to think) coiffurist was adamant that I never go that short. “You will look like a giraffe with your long neck, ” were his exact words. And for so long I believed him. Thankfully I came to my senses and disregarded all his advice.
I never imagined that by cutting off the hair I had spent years growing, the hair that screamed WOMAN, I would feel more feminine and more beautiful. And perhaps it wasn’t so much the hair as the fact that I truly embraced the art of accessorizing.
Instead of small and simple, I chose big and bold earrings that screamed style and sass. I began wearing necklaces and bracelets and felt oh so womanly. Only one problem— I hated paying for them! It seemed like everything I wanted held an outrageous price. And with a Recessionista mind, well, I’m kinda cheap when it comes to price. I just wondered why good accessories weren’t more affordable.
We’re really hoping to solve that dilemma for everyone–so let us know:
What accessory is it that you simply can’t live without?
What fashion item do you love, but hate to buy?
And if there was one item you could request at a Recessionista price, what would it be?
**** To all you Lucky Slouch lovers…..what would you think if we made a few of those lovely bags available to buy…right here, right now? Want your chance to win a super chic handbag? Keep scrolling down.

I can't live without my pair of frosted silver and gold raindrop earrings, they go with any outfit…any outfit.
I am just starting to buy statement rings, big huge cocktail rings, and I LOVE them!
I don't hate buying anything…sad, but true…I want to buy a bib necklace, a big beautiful statement necklace but I'm too chicken.
So if you sold one at a Recessionista price I'd probably buy it stat!

I LOVE big flashy rings but hate spending the cash!
I'd love to buy lots and lots of shoes at a Recessionista price!
BTW, I entered your giveaway but was too selfish to tell my friends about it on my blog because I want to host a party! Is that just awful?!

I would love to buy stuff from the site!
I LOVE big stone / chunky necklaces and bracelets but it seems like accessories are the last thing I have the cash to thing about -which is sad as they are typically what make an outfit!

I first have to say good for you for cutting your hair short! I'm still not that brave and have been given similar advice saying "your neck is too long". You've inspired me today!
I can't live without earrings!
I don't like spending money on necklaces yet I still love them.
I'd love to buy lots of shoes at your awesome prices!

I love big earrings and necklaces!! Cannot live without them!
And I love your short hair. But I think you could pull anything off! I don't think you should go back to that hair dresser!

I'd love to be able to buy the Lucky bag……of course I would prefer if I just WON it but if it was available to buy on the website that would be G-R-E-A-T!!!!
Something I love to wear but hate to buy would be earrings. I am however obssessed with purses and also hate to spend money on them too!

First of all, i always lust over short hair cuts. I'm trying to convince myself to grow out my hair for the first time in over 10 years… I somehow always end up cutting it in my unrest
I love purses and cannot be without one. Any kind of bag.
I have a hard time finding and buying sunglasses (maybe because of my flat nose.. The rims always sit on my cheeks!) So I would ask for glasses at cheap prices

Earrings, feel naked without them… Hate to buy them because they always seem so pricey and let's face it: I am frugal (not to say cheap…)!
And somehow every time I buy new ones, I (or my lovely broad of boys) seems to drop one down the sink or lose one…
Hence why I am always looking for a good deal!
