The Season of Giving

I sat stunned, a little humored, but speechless.
This made me think about giving and serving- wholeheartedly- expecting nothing in return. And then my thoughts turned to Christmas, the magic in December, the art of giving and serving, the love people show and the goodness in the air. I love Christmas because I love to give.
Part of my job, as the author of this blog, is to give and to giveaway a lot. I love the excitement in an email or a comment as the next giveaway is announced or when the winner is declared. And more than that, I love that the minds and hearts behind Recessionista love to give as well. They have poured their hearts and souls into finding a way to empower individuals, particularly women, during this economic slump by providing goods and services at a superior and reasonable price.
For the month of December, I would like to introduce the 12 Days of Christmas - Recessionista Style. For twelve consecutive days I will be hosting giveaway after giveaway, 12 in a row! Each giveaway will be different, some short, some long, some big, some small. But for you, our dear readers and customers, a way to say thank-you and spread a little Christmas Cheer.

I had to laugh at your daughter's comment. I think all moms get told that at one time or another. I remember one of my kids wished for a mom who isn't crabby.LOL
