Free Lucky Slouch and Jeans? What more could you want?

It was our first ever giveaway on our new blog and what a response we got. Being somewhat of a handbag virgin, I had no idea the Lucky Slouch would be so popular and create such a stir. I still remember the emails, aside from comments, of people begging for a chance to win this bag. In fact, we had seven of them at the time and quickly offered five for sale. They were all snatched the very same day. And they continue to be amongst the first bags to go.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, though. I’ve been keeping this one aside in an oh-so-safe place for this very purpose on this very day. See how I’m always looking out for you? This particular bag retails for $169 but is going to one very lucky reader

Something Nice:
Today I took my two girls (3 yrs old and a 17 month old) with me to go visit some residents in a Nursing Home. Even though I was really tired from an exhausting week it was totally worth it! The residents love watching and interacting with the girls, but truly I'm not sure who's more blessed – them or us.

I was speaking with a stranger today. She was a very nice lady in line at the grocery store. While her husband was unloading and loading groceries, we talked. She was proud of being 82 years old. She had beautiful, smooth skin and was in great health. I let her know how beautiful she was and how blessed she was to have such awesome health. My nice deed was sharing myself with a complete stranger and allowing them to do the same. She ever took my hand after and thanked me for being so nice and said it was nice to meet me. Awe. She made my day too.

Someone did something nice for me today…I was taking out the trash, and the recycling, and a few big boxes, and my 3 year old was tagging along. I dropped one of the boxes (full of lots of smaller boxes) and a guy who was driving by with has car full of kids stopped, got out, picked up all the boxes and threw my trash into the dumpster for me. So kind. Made my day.

I did something nice, DH needed something for work but it was dirty so I hand washed it (hot water, ow lol) and have dried it in record time. Ok, I’m doing a good deed. Even though I don’t even cook for my own family, I’m taking dinner to a friend who is having surgery. Also, the fact that I faithfully serve in Cub Scouts – going on 2 years now – even though I kindof despise it – that’s a good deed, right?

I have been helping out an out of state prospective student to our university, he suprised me with a visit to the campus with his wonderful family so I gave him LOT’s of UNT goodies. He was so excited and can’t wait to become a University of North Texas Eagle.
