Why is it, that cuffed jeans are so often referred to as “fun”? Is it because it makes us think of days we rolled up our pants to wade in a stream or walk on the beach? Maybe it’s because when you see someone wearing cuffed jeans, they appear so casual and care free; relaxed and comfortable—like they’re on their way to do something fun? Or, it could simply be the excitement of putting a twist on your everyday jeans to create a new look?
…
Whatever it is, cuffing is big right now–and might I also add, very practical (which of course earns bonus points from us Recessionistas). Forget running out to buy capris. As the weather warms up, the great pair of jeans you love, can be cuffed for a “fun” summer look! (Assuming those jeans are a skinny, straight leg, or boot cut. (Flares and wider leg jeans are well, unfortunate choices when cuffing).

Some other tips to keep in mind when cuffing…long legs should pair their cuffs with ballet flats or sandals, while shorter legs look better cuffing with wedges of heels. Also, keep your cuff fun and casual, but avoid “frumpy”. This can be done by wearing a fitted top with loose fitting cuffed jeans. Or, show off your killer legs with a tight fitting pair of cuffed skinny jeans, accented with a loose, flowing top that hits right at the top of your thigh. Most importantly, when cuffing—make it fun!
