We are working so hard to bring you the best products and the best fashion advice. We hope that you’re enjoying all of this [advice and product] to good use. This post is going to be full of information that you won’t want to miss–read carefully!
Announcing our new shop!
We’ve moved all of our Recessionista products over to this website. Now you can get your designer shoes, jeans and handbags all from the same place. Take a long hard look at the shoe shop, because we have uploaded SO MANY shoes. (No seriously, SO MANY!) This new shop gives us lots of room to expand our product line and it makes it easier for you to shop.
We are so excited about this new shop that we are giving you not one, but three ways to celebrate with us.
1. The Online Warehouse Sale
For the next 7 days, all of our blog followers can join in the warehouse sale fun by using the coupon code WAREHOUSE at checkout when you shop at the Recessionista Shop. You’ll receive 20% off your entire purchase, which is the same discount that we extended to the warehouse shoppers in Idaho Falls. We know you couldn’t all make it to Idaho Falls, but we want to show our appreciation for you just the same. Shop the same designer brands, including Coach, Michael Kors, BCBG and more, that everyone else got to shop, but do it in the privacy of your own home! Clean out your closets ladies. It’s time to make room for the new shoes in town.
2. A RISTA Kit Discount
If you’re interested in getting designer shoes, jeans, handbags and accessories at even better prices, consider becoming a RISTA. You’ll have access to our wholesale pricing to buy products for yourself AND you can host parties to make some extra cash for the things in life that you can’t buy at the Recessionista Shop (you know, like food). To see if you qualify to become a RISTA, fill out this form. If you’re approved, you can use the discount code NEWCONSULT25 for 25% off your consultant kit.
3. A Pair of Coach Shoes
That’s right ladies, one of your favorite handbag designers also makes lovely shoes. I love the styles and colors that Coach offers–it blows that basic black pump out of the water!

I’d love to hear about new Fall Fashions that work for on the go women. I’m a stay at home mom with triplets so I need fast, easy but stylish ideas to make me look put together.
August 25th, 2010 at 6:19 am
I took a dresser that I wasn’t using and put a bunch of shoes in it– it works great, when I need them I open my drawers and see them nicely displayed. I only fit 2 pairs per drawer usually though.
August 25th, 2010 at 6:31 am
I have a new idea for shoe storage– this is much better– I plan on finding a Jelly Cabinet that matches our room and put shoes of each shelves. I was just looking at our regular jelly cabinet and they would fit perfectly on each shelf– then I can open the doors and see them all at once just as if they were in our closet displayed.
August 25th, 2010 at 6:57 am
Most the time I’m an 8 1/2 shoe size

Size 10!!!!! Please get more Coach shoes in that size…. I LOVE THEM!!!
August 25th, 2010 at 7:12 am
I have storage bins under my bed that I switch the shoes for in my closet. They are separated by season, what type of shoe they are, and color. This way if I want to wear something that isn’t in my closet it’s easy to find. I then label each storage bin with what shoes are in there.
August 25th, 2010 at 7:16 am
I’m an 8 1/2 (usually).
August 25th, 2010 at 7:18 am
I agree with a post on super skinny jeans and jeggings (seriously, who came up with that?). They’re the kind of thing you look at, but just wonder if you could actually wear them and never try.
August 25th, 2010 at 7:52 am

August 25th, 2010 at 10:15 am
I get most of my jeans at the Buckle or at pant parties!! Best advice I can give on buying jeans…don’t worry about the size!! I used to buy jeans in only one size whether they fit great or not just so I didn’t have to go up a size but all pant brands are so different! So I put my pride aside and now I look great in every brand! No matter what the size!
August 25th, 2010 at 11:18 am

I have a ton of shoes, but live in a small space. I found a really great over the door shoe rack at Bed Bath and Beyond that has been great. It’s not one of those bags, but an actual rack that is the full length of the door. I hang it on the inside of my closet, and it holds tons of shoes and gets them out of the way.

I have a lot of shoes and used to try and switch them out by seasons and that became to much work. I tried to keep them in their boxes that took up too much ’shoe’ space, tried the shoe shelves not enough room:( I have built large wood shelves that are perfect for all of the plastic bins(so my shoes don’t get dusty) and placed polaroids of the shoes on the outside so I can see what shoes I have. It may not be practical for every space, but it works for me!

shoe storage solution, ummm, i usually have to hide new shoes so my hubby doesn’t find them. some of the places i have hidden (I mean stored uhum) my shoes include the trunk of my car, under fabric in my craft room, and in the darkest corners of our closet. hehehe
But plastic storage bins that have drawers work well.

As far as shoe storage, I have one of those under-the-bed storage boxes with the compartments. At first I was kind of frustrated with it because the sides aren’t solid, but once you put shoes into it it’s awesome! Hides a dozen shoes of all sizes!
August 26th, 2010 at 2:36 pm
I wear a 9 and a half. Seems like most people won’t enter stuff if they have big feet because I rarely see people online enter a giveaway unless they wear a 6 but all my friends in real life have a size 8 or bigger foot.

I went and got some under the bed plastic boxes from IKEA that have wheels on the bottom for our shoes. Our closet space is really limited, so this provided a place to store all of our shoes without having to step on them everytime we walked into there!
