The Jeans are Back for $39.99

The last time we debuted our new jean line by Liuce’s, we sat somewhat stunned as nearly every pair flew off the shelves to their new homes across the states.  Since then we have received countless emails nearly begging to bring them back at their discounted sale price.  I mean, really, for under $40 where else can you find such high quality and stylish jeans?  And where else online can you return them at no cost to you in the event they do not fit?

Well, for the next week, we have each and every style stocked and ready to be shipped to their new homes. All for $39.99 each.  As always on the Recessionista Shop, we have $5 flat rate shipping or free shipping on all orders over $75.  Buy two pair and they ship for free.  Then if you don’t love them as much as we think you will,  we will gladly ship them back for free and refund you in full (assuming they are unworn w/original tags and within 30 days of purchasing).  What’s not to love about that?

Here they are in all their glory.

The Headband Trend is Alive & Thriving

It’s no secret that headbands are the hot accessory item right now.  In fact, I’ve been shocked at some of the flamboyant headbands currently filling the fashion.  Go see for yourself here and here.

Just like the scarves, headbands are a very inexpensive way to spice up your spring wardrobe.  For under $10, you can completely transform an entire outfit.  Just like every great trend, we have a Hollywood Elite to thank, and I’m sure we can give a generous one to the fictional Blair Waldorf and her Upper East Side posse for truly rockin’ the headband scene.

Now don’t be mistaken, headbands ARE indeed for everyone.  Think you can’t pull it off? Think again.  Even the semi-plain, boring, non-fashion conscious people like myself can sport the do, and sport it well.  In fact, I even go as far as sometimes sharing headbands with my 7 year old!  How’s that for fashionable?

Go check out the new headband arrivals over at The Recessionista Shop.  My personal favorites are this, this and this.  Not only are they super cute but, even better, they don’t hurt my head.

And don’t forget the “blogparty” 20% coupon code that is valid through the weekend.  This makes all the new headbands under $8!  What a deal, indeed.

Now, tell me, are you a headband fan?  Simple?  The bigger the better? Or a mixture between the two?  (teaser….u may want to comment today….)

To comment or not, that is the question.

Blog commenting is a funny thing and I find that I have a love/hate relationship with that feature.  You see, on my personal blog, I’ve turned them completely off and kinda like it that way.  Of course, I love to get comments – I mean, who doesn’t?  But I also like to read blogs and not comment at all.  It takes the pressure of writing something clever, witty or memorable – or writing anything at all.  Sometimes, I just like things to effortless.  Some blogs I read the comments become more popular than the post and often times they take on a very negative  tone.  Why are there so many rude folks, mostly women, that feel so obliged to spew nastiness, I always wonder?

I’m glad none of them come over here.  Quite frankly, I’ve enjoy your comments and especially on the scarf giveaway.  I do read every comment that comes my way and always learn a thing or two.  And today, I’m going to post of few in case the rest of you don’t scroll through the comment section to read them yourself.

Heather Says:

Awesome! I like scarves, but I never really know how to use them as anything other than to keep warm in winter. It’d be nice to have a free one to work with.

Well, Heather, how about some linkage to help you on your way to becoming the scarf wearing, scarf tying, scarf stylin’ master?

Christa, from enSTYLEpedia has a few ideas here and even posted this tutorial found here.  Thanks Christa!  PS-love your blog and would love to have you contribute to Recessionista once in a while!

Scarves are so hot, they even have jokes about them!  Now, that’s getting serious.

Megan Santini Says:

A joke about a scarf:

Q: What did the big furry hat say to the warm woolly scarf?
A: “You hang around while I go on ahead.”

And YES, scarves are the P E R F E C T accessory for all you expecting mamas out there.

Katie Rees Says:

I love scarves. I fell in love with them while in Italy last winter and now I can’t get enough. A new scarf would be the perfect accessory for my pregnant belly!

Like I said, scarves are an inexpensive way to make any outfit go from drab to fab!

Andrea Says:

Oh a scarf would be lovely for those of us who love ‘em over necklaces we can’t afford!

Debra P Says:

Very lovely! A scarf would spice things up and add some fashion flair :)

Ashley Says:

A scarf is one of the best accessories!! They can make or break an outfit. I love them!

Joanna Smith Says:

Mary Says:

It is amazing how a scarf can make a whole new looking outfit!

Thanks of all your comments even if I have to bribe you with a giveaway!

Scarves are still $9 for a few more days and our last week for Soles4souls!

$9 Scarves….what a deal!

Scarves are hot fashion trend all year round.  It’s the one trend that knows no age or personal style boundaries.  Scarves are so versatile and will easily make any drab outfit look fabulous.  They can be the most inexpensive yet effective accessory to every woman’s wardrobe.

Not only are they made for the neck, but see how your scarf looks as a waste sash or knotted belt.

What’s even better, is that all our scarves are $9, a price that will last for a week.

You can see our full selection here

Ever wondered different ways to tie your scarf?

Thanks to the above drawings found here, I’ve even learned a few new scarf-knotting tricks.

The Perfect Jeans by Liuce

Shopping Cart

This special is over.

Remember this post?  I’ve been on a quest, a very serious one, to find myself the perfect skinny jeans.  I fought it off long enough…you know the return to 80’s land….but have since decided that getting some good use out of my boots takes priority.  I almost shelled out close to $200 for a pair for my first skinnies at Nordstroms.  I almost took the bait that a higher price tag meant a better jean.   However, at the last minute, I couldn’t do it and walked away empty handed.  I was certain that my family need not starve for a good pair of skinnies.

Being a serious jean lover, one who could very well live in them all.the.time, I wasn’t going to just settle for anything.  I wanted style, comfort, a little sass, and excellent quality – all for a really good price.  After all, I have learned to NEVER overpay.  Alas, in Vegas, we finally came face to face with the very jeans we’d been searching for what seemed like the ends of the earth, the jeans that our now my very favorite pair.  The brand – Liuce (pronounced Lucy)- unless you’re like me who likes to say Lu-CH-ay cuz I’m cool like that.  They are hot, sexy and oh so comfy.

We love them so much that we wanted to offer them to all of your for a rockin’ Recessionista deal.  They retail for $80 and since we follow the Recessionista motto to look like a million bucks while only spending a few, we have them for sale right here and right now for $39.95 with free shipping both ways.  What this means is that ,upon purchase, we will ship them to you free and should they not fit, we will ship them back free and offer a full refund.  (Refunds must take place within 30 days and have all original tags attached).  Not sure on your size or fit, buy two and send back whatever one doesn’t fit.  Or if you’re like me, buy one size for morning and one size for night:)

Go ahead, check them out and believe me when say that you will fall in love, just as we all have. (PS…winners to all the giveaways will be announced later today).

Post edit: I usually wear a 28, 29 in jeans or size 6 and wear the size 9 in this style.  Another one of us wears a 00 (yeah I’d hate her if she wasn’t so nice) and wears a 1.  The other one of us wears a 27,28 and wears a 7.  I hope this helps.  They’re stretchy and give a little.
