Must Know: Pinterest…a place for inspiration

While we normally bring you sales from around the internet on Mondays, lately we’ve been switching it up with other things we think you ought to know. Today’s must know is Pinterest.

Pinterest is the latest brilliant social networking site and (if you can get an invite) we think you’re going to love it.

It’s a Recessionista’s dream, giving you a place to store all of your amazing fashion ideas on an inspiration board. Install the toolbar, “pin” the things that inspire you and inspire others.

I just got my invite this weekend, but I will be sure to share as soon as I start pinning. In the meantime, here’s some inspiration from Joy Cho.

Who Wore it Best: The Valentine’s Day Dress

I’m sure you haven’t had quite enough of our Valentine’s day fashion inspiration yet. It only happens once a year, we want to get plenty of wear out of all of our love-inspired wardrobe items. And so as we celebrate love let us celebrate the celeb with the best Valentine’s day style!

Tell us in the comments who you think has the best Valentine’s Day Style.

Don’t forget to join us on Facebook and show off your sweetheart…and all you single ladies, don’t worry – you haven’t seen the best of Recessionista yet!

A little love in your wardrobe

With the amazing response that we’ve received on Facebook, I’ve been feeling very romantic. If you haven’t entered (or if you have entered, but haven’t read any of the other entries) you definitely need to head over to our Facebook wall. It will inspire those of us who haven’t shown our sweethearts enough appreciation lately to go show that appreciation and it will inspire the single ladies (we haven’t forgotten about the single ladies!) to hold out for Mr. Right. There are still great guys out there. Whether you’re celebrating with the girls or with your man, every one could use something glamorous and lovely in their life!

There’s no specific Valentine’s Day Fashion trend making its way around the internet this year, but we thought you might like some inspiration!

Who Wore it Best: Floral Headband Edition

After my genius (though not completely unheard of) plan to Spring to us into next season, I wanted to see which celebs are rocking (or at least trying to rock) this look. My findings were a little disappointing (in my humble Recessionista opinion). I am certain that most of you ladies have better taste in headbands. But I would still love to get your opinion on the matter at hand! So tell us…

Who do you think wore it best? Tell us in the comments!

A little Spring in your step or on your headband

I know that most of the country is months away from the gorgeous Spring weather that even the most passionate snowbirds start to long for. While most of us can’t exactly slip into a Spring dress just yet, you can make it feel a little more like Spring with a floral headband. We regularly discuss the joys of headbands and now we’re adding one more joy to the list. A floral headband can make it feel like Spring, even when we haven’t quite seen the last of Winter!

Where are your purchasing your floral headbands? Do you have some other secrets to making it feel just a little bit warmer, even if only in the fashion sense? Tell us in the comments!
