Tuesday Trendy Tee

I’m a t-shirt and jean kind of gal and although I enjoy getting dressed up once in a while, I’m always anxious to slip into my favorite tee/jean ensemble. T-shirts have made a bold statement the last few years since layering has been introduced in every form imaginable. At first, I dreaded “layering” as I could hardly imagine wearing more clothing than any human should. However, when you find that perfect tee with just the right blend and fit, layering is hardly noticeable and being a “tee” girl is even more desirable.

As I sit here, wearing my new favorite jersey knit tee and type this post, I’m left wondering why I’ve suffered so long through horribly made and fitted tees. You know the ones that fit in the beginning, then throughout the day develop a mind of their own. The ones that creep up to your armpits when worn as an under layer, suggesting extra pounds that don’t even exist. Or the ones that fit until suffering severe washing machine abuse. Having an ill-fitting tee, in my opinion, is as bad as an ill-fitting brassiere or jeans that grow 18 sizes throughout the day.

Lately, with my panel of fashionistas, I’ve been curious about the things I like to wear. In consulting with Savvy Stylista regarding my love for tees, I’m patting myself on the back because t-shirts are “in” and I’m typing in style.

***Sigh***

I’m actually fashionable today without even trying.

In addition to granting tee wearing approval, she gave me a little insight into the variety of tees available. The one, in particular, that I’m really loving is the burnout tee. Do you have one? Of course, we can thank out lovely celebrities for bringing this look mainstream.

What’s a burnout tee you ask?

A cotton/poly fabric that undergoes and extensive process to reveal years of authentic wearing, adding a vintage flare. This tee comes with the “worn in feel” and without a doubt will be a favorite clothing item you own. Regardless one’s body type, the tee maintains it’s original shape as if it were custom made. Finally, we can be fashionable and comfortable at the same time.

The short sleeved burnout tee is great to layer with a long-sleeved tee in a contrasting color. Our favorite color combos are:

  • Black short sleeved burnout tee with a bright pink magenta (go figure) or a dark gray slate underneath.
  • Brown short sleeved burnout tee with a cream or tan underneath.
  • White short sleeved burnout with black or olive green beneath.

The long sleeved burnout tee is a must have for this winter season. I promise you will LOVE them and like me, relish being comfortably in-style.

And just you wait….I have a smokin‘ deal to announce tomorrow. Smokin‘ hot I’m
almost burning……
