The Online Warehouse Sale and a Giveaway

We have had so much going on here at Recessionista. We are working so hard to bring you the best products and the best fashion advice. We hope that you’re enjoying all of this [advice and product] to good use. This post is going to be full of information that you won’t want to miss–read carefully!

Announcing our new shop!

We’ve moved all of our Recessionista products over to this website. Now you can get your designer shoes, jeans and handbags all from the same place. Take a long hard look at the shoe shop, because we have uploaded SO MANY shoes. (No seriously, SO MANY!) This new shop gives us lots of room to expand our product line and it makes it easier for you to shop.

We are so excited about this new shop that we are giving you not one, but three ways to celebrate with us.

1. The Online Warehouse Sale

For the next 7 days, all of our blog followers can join in the warehouse sale fun by using the coupon code WAREHOUSE at checkout when you shop at the Recessionista Shop. You’ll receive 20% off your entire purchase, which is the same discount that we extended to the warehouse shoppers in Idaho Falls. We know you couldn’t all make it to Idaho Falls, but we want to show our appreciation for you just the same. Shop the same designer brands, including Coach, Michael Kors, BCBG and more, that everyone else got to shop, but do it in the privacy of your own home! Clean out your closets ladies. It’s time to make room for the new shoes in town.

2.  A RISTA Kit Discount

If you’re interested in getting designer shoes, jeans, handbags and accessories at even better prices, consider becoming a RISTA. You’ll have access to our wholesale pricing to buy products for yourself AND you can host parties to make some extra cash for the things in life that you can’t buy at the Recessionista Shop (you know, like food). To see if you qualify to become a RISTA, fill out this form. If you’re approved, you can use the discount code NEWCONSULT25 for 25% off your consultant kit.

3. A Pair of Coach Shoes

That’s right ladies, one of your favorite handbag designers also makes lovely shoes. I love the styles and colors that Coach offers–it blows that basic black pump out of the water!

  • Tell us your shoe size (we’re doing a little surveying here…maybe we’ll carry more of your size, if you tell us!)
  • For every purchase you make on the new Recessionista Shop, you’ll automatically get 5 entries
  • For every tweet, facebook status update, delicious bookmark, technorati bookmark ,you’ll receive one entry. Our sharing is sexy tool bar let’s you spread the word easily…try it! We will warn you that these social bookmarking sites can be a little addicting, though. You can post separately about the Warehouse Sale and the RISTA Discount– every post counts! (Post links to the different places where you spread the good news in the comments!)
  • Tell us which fashion tips you want to read about next for another entry
  • For yet another entry, comment on our last blog post about jeans and share your opinion (then report back to this blog post and let us know that you participated in the conversation)
  • For a last entry, please provide shoe storage solutions for the ladies of the Recessionista team–and our fellow Recessionistas– who don’t have quite enough space to store all of the shoes that we can’t stop buying. Your suggestions just might be featured in an upcoming blog post.
  • The Online Shopping Craze

    (source)

I’m going to straight with you today and confess that I hate shopping – hate everything about it. So much that my worst nightmare would be to end up stranded all night inside the mall with no way out, a fright-mare indeed.  I don’t know if it’s because a) I live in a small city where the shopping is rather pathetic, b) if I can’t stand the crowds or c) knowing how marked up EVERYTHING is and therefore realize how much I am being ripped off.  Whatever the reason, I don’t like it at all.

Online shopping, on the other hand, is something I prefer for a number a reasons:

    1. I can sit in my bed, laptop by my side and browse through the online stores and fill my cart endlessly – all without ever checking out or spending a dime.  Sometimes that is just as satisfying.
    2. When I do actually complete the checkout process, I love that items come right to my door cuz I’m lazy like that and who doesn’t like personal service?
    3. Coupon codes are always floating through cyberspace and my rule is if I can’t find one for the store I want then I don’t need what I think I do badly enough.
    4. Shopping online is totally GREEN – and you know how “cool” it is to claim participation in that one!  Just google the endless articles about how much gas is saved when ordering online vs. driving to and from the store, not to mention the physical energy that is saved!
    5. I don’t have to try anything on, not that I ever do that anyway.  I’m famous for buying and trying on at home then returning what doesn’t fit.  See when I do go shopping, it’s really In and Out style.
    6. I never have to worry about mixing a toddler tantrum and shopping experience which is, quite possibly, the biggest advantage of all!
